Privacy Policy

Last updated 21 August 2026

This policy explains what we do with personal data in connection with JustFiled, operated by ThinkX.

1. Data about you, our customer

When you request a sample or subscribe, we collect your email address, the buyer category you select, and basic technical information our web server logs (IP address, request time, user agent). If you subscribe, Stripe collects and processes your payment details - we never see or store your full card number.

We use this to deliver the sample or the subscription, to answer your questions, and to notify you about the Service you are paying for. We do not sell your personal data. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. We do not use third-party analytics or advertising trackers on this website, and we set no tracking cookies.

Retention. Sample requests that do not become subscriptions are deleted within 12 months. Customer and billing records are retained for as long as required for tax and accounting purposes.

Lawful basis. Where the UK or EU GDPR applies to you, we rely on your consent for sending you the sample, on performance of a contract for subscription delivery, and on our legitimate interest in operating and securing the site.

2. Data in the product itself

The datasets we sell are compiled from Colorado Secretary of State business entity registrations, which that agency publishes as public records in the public domain.

These records identify businesses. Some fields - notably the registered agent name and address - may relate to an identifiable individual, particularly for owner-operated businesses where the founder is their own registered agent. We publish those fields only as they appear in the public register, we do not enrich them with any additional personal information, and we do not append phone numbers, personal email addresses or any consumer data.

If you are named in the Colorado business register and wish to change or remove your details, that request must be made to the Colorado Secretary of State, which is the controller of the source record. If you contact us, we will remove you from future files we generate.

3. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict our processing, to withdraw consent, and to receive a copy in a portable format. Email [email protected] and we will respond within one month. There is no charge.

4. Processors we use

  • Stripe - payment processing and subscription billing.
  • Our own mail server - delivery of subscription files and replies to you.
  • Cloudflare - DNS and content delivery for this website.

5. Security

Sample requests are stored on our own server, outside the public web root, restricted to the operator account. We do not maintain a copy of your payment details.

6. Changes and contact

We will post any changes to this policy on this page. For anything relating to privacy, contact [email protected].
